London is one of my favourite cities for a theatre night. Over the years, I have seen everything from big West End musicals to smaller plays, unusual productions and shows in more intimate venues.
This page brings my theatre diaries together in one place so you can find a show or experience that fits your own London trip. My reviews are based on shows I actually attended, and I keep the personal experience at the centre: what I enjoyed, what stayed with me and whether I would recommend the experience to someone visiting London.
Some productions in the archive have already finished their London runs. I still keep those reviews here because they are part of my theatre diary and may help if a show returns, tours or is revived. For me, theatre is often part of a bigger London day rather than an isolated evening. I love combining a show with food, a drink, a walk through the city or an overnight stay.
