HELLO LONDON | EVENING WALK

Hello Lovely People and welcome back to a new Hello London blogpost! Wow, it is already autumn, you can see the leaves on the trees turning yellow, oranges, brown and red. I love the change in season and especially the autumn. Luckily we have some gentle autumn nights which are great for a long evening walk.

The evenings are getting longer. When you go for a walk after 6 pm, most likely it will be already dark outside. The city lights in the evenings are just mesmerizing. For some reason, the same walk feels different every time.

I feel pretty lucky, and grateful to be able to walk through the city centre without taking any tube or bus at the moment.

Below are some beautiful pictures. I took these pictures to give you an impression of an evening walk near the Bankside on an autumn evening. These pictures are all taken with my iPhone 11.

ROTTERDAM | FOOD AND PLACES

Hello Lovely readers and welcome back to the final travel blog of my trip to the Netherlands on misswidjaja.com. I am kind of sad that this is the final blog post about my trip home. I am secretly reliving the lovely memories through my blogposts.

For this final blog, I wanted to mention just a few places in Rotterdam where you can have some great food and some quality time with friends or family in the city centre.

The first place I want to mention is Takumi Rotterdam. If you haven’t been, go and check this place out. This place serves delicious ramen. It will definitely not disappoint you. If you like SHORYU RAMEN, this will be just as on point as the ramen in London.

The second place is Cafe Restaurant Floor, it such a lovely place to drink some wine and have some bites with family or friends. We went for the tapas on their menu, which was served in a high tea arrangement. The tapas includes some bread and butter. Tip in the summer, go sit outside in their secret garden.

If you are in Rotterdam, give these places a chance. They are all located 10 -15 minutes from Rotterdam Central Station. With all the restrictions at the moment in the world, I can’t tell when my next trip is going to be. With this said I feel very blessed to have been with my family and see some friends in the two weeks I have been home. For sure, I can’t wait to travel again and until then, keep an eye on all other upcoming blog posts.

ROTTERDAM | CATCH THE GOOD VIBES

Hello Lovely readers and welcome back to another (the new normal) travel blog on misswidjaja.com. As you know, so far, I have been to charismatic Amsterdam, creative Eindhoven during my holidays, but let’s not forget my beautiful hometown Rotterdam. The city full of architecture and good vibes, if I can say so myself.

Each time I go back home, I fall in love with its beauty. Mainly because the city continues evolves. So this time I soaked up the beauty of the architecture and street art in Rotterdam.

Just like London, you can pretty much walk everywhere in the city centre and enjoy the view. This is exactly what I did with my mom, we did a 7k strolling through the city centre to see if we can spot some street art and capture some great pictures of architecture. However, we got some Dutch weather, which means it was raining a lot of the time. As Dutchies this should not ruin your afternoon walk, so we enjoyed our walk just as much. I even think it helped the pictures to come out stronger, let me know what you think in the comments below?

The pictures below are all taken with, my Honor 10 mobile phone. I wanted to leave the pictures unedited and capture the moment as it is. Focusing on the architecture, I am quite happy with the pictures I took. So many historical buildings next to all the new and modern architecture. It is just like finding some sweet candies in some corners of the city, which made me smile a lot.

First of all the pictures of all the beautiful architecture in the city centre captured on that day.

Some of the street art we found along the way of our stroll in beautiful Rotterdam.

EINDHOVEN | STRIJP-S

Hello Lovely readers and welcome back to another (the new normal) travel blog on misswidjaja.com. Next stop I have been in the Netherlands is Eindhoven (de gekste) and especially the area Strijp- S. Thanks to my lovely cousin, who brought me here, I have seen this beautiful, creative neighbourhood of Eindhoven with lots of architecture and street art.

Eindhoven is definitely a recommendation if you are travelling through the Netherlands. People are very friendly here in the South of the Netherlands. The Strijp-S area, almost makes you feel like you are in Shoreditch, London. A lot of creativity going on and each building is so differently beautiful.

There are some pretty places we had some drinks and or food in. The first one is Zwart Wit Koffie, it’s a lovely place that almost looks like a cosy wooden cabin. First time trying their home-brewed coffee cold, which had a peculiar, but good taste. I will never forget the salmon sandwich I had here if you are in this area give it a go. They are just handmade in heaven, so delicious. Thank you, cousin, for bringing me to this lovely place.

Next stop, in between strolling around to see some street art and beautiful architecture, is MOOD on Strijp-S. It was a lovely day to sit on their terrace and drink a Gin tonic with some dim sum. The restaurant itself is beautiful, even the toilets are fancy. If you are looking for a perfect romantic place for a date, look no further.

After strolling around we went back to the city centre, which is not so far of a walk from Strijp-S to have some dinner at The Roast Club. This was meat heaven, slow-cooked meat and some good Belgium beer, what else do you need? Excellent choice by my cousin to go to this place. Enjoyed from the starters, our conversation, the beer to the main dish. This is definitely a recommendation for the meat lovers between us. To finish the night we went to Bobby’s Bar for our last cocktail of the night.

Bobby’s Bar

The sky bar, VANE, is a place you have to try as well. From the sky bar, you will have the best view of the city centre of Eindhoven.

The below pictures will give you an impression of Eindhoven, which I discovered on that day, has a lot to offer if you love architecture and art. I might go to the street art festival next time.
