HELLO LONDON | ABQ LONDON – IMMERSIVE MOLECULAR COCKTAIL BAR

Hello Beautiful Souls! Have you always wanted to try to make cocktails yourself? Then look no further. This immersive cocktail bar at Hackney Fun House got you covered. This experience turned out to be super fun.

ABQ London is part of Hackney Fun House. Next to creating your cocktails, you can enjoy some delicious pizza from their Saint Pizzaria. There is even an Espresso Martini lounge bar.

You can book your “cook your own cocktail” experience online for £38,00 per person. Please note you need to book for two. For 1:45 hours, you get a welcome drink, plus you will prepare two molecular cocktails. There is an option to make some non-alcoholic cocktails as well.

It is [such] a fun experience in the “Lab” with some old-school tunes in the background. The cocktail “Hit and Wake” is a tequila-based Espresso Martini where I had to make the tiramisu/ amaretto bubbles on top of the cocktail. Honestly, I completely forgot which cocktail I made after that because it took some time before we could start with the second cocktail.

I would recommend it if you enjoy cocktails and would like to elevate [enrich] your experience with friends or even with a date.

HELLO GEMS | TANAKATSU – ANGEL

Hello Beautiful Souls! Who else is enjoying the food blog posts? This time we are going to one of my favourite boroughs in London, Angel. In this ‘small’ borough, there is a tiny authentic Japanese restaurant called Tanakatsu. They specialise in Katsu and Teri.

The restaurant is owned and run by a lovely couple named Joe, the executive chef and his wife, Koko, a well-experienced restaurant manager. You can find an excellent variety of Katsu and Teriyaki dishes next to sushi and sashimi.

I tried the Katsu & Teri – Yaki combi set with Pork Katsu & Chicken TeriYaki. The mighty dressing you can add to your salad is [very] fresh and tasty. I believe you can buy the salad dressing if you like. The portions are a lot, so you get a lot of value for your pennies. We got some matcha tea afterwards, which is always great after a big meal like the Katsu & Teri – Yaki combi set.

For dessert lovers between us, and also matcha lovers, you can get this matcha cake. The cake is very fluffy with something creamy inside. It is yummy and [luckily] not too big.

HELLO LONDON | FARM GIRL – SOUTH KENSINGTON

Hello Beautiful Souls! I hope you’re doing well. Today, I have an exciting recommendation to add to our Food Corner! Farm Girl is a fantastic option for a quick bite with some coffee, and it can be found in various locations.

Located in South Kensington, Farm Girl is an ideal choice if you are planning to visit the Victoria and Albert Museum. The cafe offers plenty of vegan options to choose from, making it a perfect destination for vegans and non-vegans alike.

Let’s talk about their signature Rose Latte. If you’re a fan of floral notes, this latte infused with rose water and rose petals is a must-try. You can customize your latte by choosing the type of milk you prefer. Trust me, this beverage is nothing less than heaven in a cup!

As for their desserts, they are undoubtedly scrumptious. However, if you’re not a fan of overly sweet treats, you might find them a bit too sugary. Nevertheless, the quality of ingredients and the presentation of their desserts is something that Farm Girl certainly does not compromise on.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Farm Girl for its exquisite Rose Latte and vegan options. Don’t forget to stop by the next time you’re in the area. Happy sipping and snacking!

HELLO GEMS | HOLY CARROT

Hello Beautiful Souls! It is time for another food blog post at the Food Corner. I can’t believe there are still so many restaurants to discover here in London. Here is a lovely and sophisticated plant-based [vegan] restaurant in Knightsbridge named Holy Carrot.

Holy Carrot is known for its inventive plant-based recipes. You can even drink some mystical cocktails at the Holy bar. This time I went on a Sunday afternoon and had an outstanding Sunday Brunch named the Holy Sunday Roast. The cauliflower with truffled cheese and the roast chestnut mushroom tasted [exactly] like a proper Sunday Roast. I enjoyed every bit of it.

This vegan restaurant also does a lunch and main menu, which are slightly different from the brunch menu. I am [very] curious to go to their Holy bar and try one of their cocktails inspired by the Major Arcana tarot cards. I will leave this for another time.
