High above the City of London, Duck & Waffle combines panoramic skyline views with modern British dining on the 40th floor of 110 Bishopsgate. I enjoyed its three-course Sunday Roast with my mum, beginning with drinks overlooking the Gherkin before sitting down for lunch.
The Sunday Roast currently costs £55 per person and includes a starter, main course and dessert. This review covers the food we ordered, the atmosphere, the views and what you should know before booking.

The Views and Atmosphere at Duck & Waffle
As we arrived a little early, we started at the bar for a drink, and oh, what a view! The sight of the iconic Gherkin right in front of us was simply breathtaking. It set the perfect tone for the marvellous culinary journey that awaited us.
Duck & Waffle Sunday Roast Menu
We chose the three-course Sunday Roast, which is still priced at £55 per
person. The Angus beef tartare was fresh, full of flavour and a strong start to the meal. The roast followed with tender meat, crisp roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a Yorkshire pudding, a generous and comforting main course.
Side Dishes and Desserts
Alongside the roast, we ordered the Hispi cabbage and the four-cheese cauliflower and leek gratin. The cabbage was a lighter contrast to the main course, wh
ile the rich, creamy gratin was my favourite side, especially as a cheese lover. For dessert, we shared the Biscoff cheesecake and sticky toffee waffle. Both were enjoyable, but the warm sticky toffee waffle with its sweet sauce was the clear winner and a memorable finish to the meal.
My Verdict on Duck & Waffle’s Sunday Roast
Duck & Waffle’s strongest feature is the complete experience: generous food, a lively atmosphere and panoramic views across London. The sticky toffee waffle and roast were the highlights of our meal, while drinks overlooking the Gherkin made the occasion feel especially memorable.
At £55 per person before drinks and service, this is a special-occasion Sunday lunch rather than a budget roast. I would recommend it to visitors celebrating in London or anyone who wants a restaurant experience with impressive skyline views. Book ahead and request a window table, although this cannot be guaranteed.
