HELLO HOTEL | GRAND ROYALE LONDON HYDE PARK

Hello Beautiful Souls! Welcome back to this Friday’s blog post. Today, I’m excited to share my recent stay at the Grand Royale London Hyde Park hotel. This was my first time staying in a hotel in London since I am a [local] resident and do not usually require accommodation. However, I must say that this four-star hotel in a late Edwardian townhouse exceeded my expectations and was the perfect choice for a few days getaway in London.

Located in the heart of Bayswater, the Grand Royale London Hyde Park offers easy connectivity to the tube station Queensway and multiple bus stops, making it a convenient spot for [both] tourists and locals. The hotel’s exterior is [absolutely] stunning, and the grandeur continues as you step into the lobby area, which is spacious and beautifully decorated with wooden floors and elegant paintings, giving it a regal vibe.

The hotel was designed by renowned French architect and London Ritz designer Charles Frédéric Mewès, who created a stunning masterpiece that exudes luxury and elegance. The building was initially commissioned by Edward VII as a private residence for his mistress, Lilly Langtry, and its romantic charm is still palpable in the ravishing interiors that are adorned with polished wood panelling, marble fireplaces, and crystal chandeliers.

Moving on to my room, although it was [quite] small, it was cosy and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfortable, and the linens were soft and luxurious. The only downside was the wifi, which was not the best, but I didn’t mind as I was mostly out and about exploring the city.

When it comes to breakfast, the hotel provides a decent selection of food, including English breakfast, toast, cereals, fruits, and hot beverages. However, for the price of 15 pounds [or 12 pounds if you book in advance], you can have something better in the neighbourhood. So, if you’re a foodie like me, I suggest exploring the local cafes and restaurants for a more satisfying breakfast experience.

Overall, my stay at the Grand Royale London Hyde Park was pleasant. The hotel’s location, stunning exterior, and cosy rooms make it a great choice for a few days’ getaways in London. If you’re planning a trip to London anytime soon and looking for a cosy and affordable hotel (especially if you book way in advance), the Grand Royale London Hyde Park should [definitely] be on your list. Thanks for tuning in to this week’s blog post. Until next time, have a great weekend, and keep exploring!
