HELLO LONDON | HORIZON 22

Hello Beautiful Souls,

Today’s English grammar moment: “Some views are worth the wait, and the height.”

And this one definitely was.

I’ve officially added Horizon 22 London to my growing list of must-visit London viewpoints, right next to Sky Garden, Aqua Shard, Duck & Waffle in Salesforce Tower, and Searcys at The Gherkin. Finally, I made it, and it was so worth it!horizon22_london

If you haven’t heard of it yet, Horizon 22 is the highest free public viewing platform in London. Yes, completely free. Located on the 58th floor of 22 Bishopsgate, the tallest building in the city, it offers some of the most incredible views across the capital, higher even than Sky Garden.

So if you’re planning a visit, set a reminder or alarm to book exactly one month before. There are also walk-in options, but I’m not sure how busy it gets or how long the wait is. With a ticket, the process is seamless. You go through security, hop in the lift, and in moments you’re soaring above the skyline.

Once at the top, the view really is something special. London spreads out beneath you, the Shard, the Gherkin, St Paul’s, Tower Bridge, and beyond. It’s a view that makes you pause, breathe, and remember just how spectacular this city is.

They also have a small café where you can grab a drink or snack and just sit by the floor-to-ceiling windows, soaking it all in. I didn’t catch Sunset this time, but I’ve imagined it’s magical. Definitely hoping to go back during Golden Hour one day.horizon22_london

Final thoughts?

If you love a city view (and a free one at that), Horizon 22 London should absolutely be on your list. It’s a perfect addition to your London itinerary, especially if you’re already exploring the City. Combine it with a late lunch or early dinner nearby, and you’ve got a dreamy day out.
