HELLO LONDON | BST FESTIVAL HYDE PARK KINGS OF LEON

Hello Beautiful Souls,

I had the pleasure of attending a spectacular event that I’ve been eagerly awaiting for years: Kings of Leon at BST Hyde Park. After living in London for seven years, I finally got to see this amazing band live. I vividly remember the day I moved to London and saw that Kings of Leon was performing at the Hyde Park BST Festival, but I couldn’t make it to the show back then. Fast forward to this year, and I was thrilled to finally catch them during their “Can We Please Have Fun” tour.

BST_kings_of_leonTwo years ago, I had an amazing time seeing Pearl Jam at the BST Festival, and this year’s event was just as memorable. Having attended their “When You See Yourself” tour concert a couple of years ago, I was excited to experience their live performance again. The BST Hyde Park event this time was nothing short of incredible. The weather was perfect, making the outdoor concert experience even more enjoyable. Kings of Leon played a fantastic setlist, featuring their beloved hits alongside tracks from their latest album, “Can We Please Have Fun.” Their performance was a reminder of why they are one of the most exhilarating rock bands out there.

BST_kings_of_leonThe BST Hyde Park festival itself always has a unique atmosphere. Although I’ve noticed that it tends to have a distinctly British feel, with a diverse crowd that still leans more traditional in terms of representation, the overall vibe is welcoming and energetic. This year, the line-up was especially impressive, featuring not only Kings of Leon but also The Vaccines and Paolo Nutini.

BST_kings_of_leonSeeing The Vaccines again was a blast—they never fail to bring high energy to their performances. Paolo Nutini was a delightful discovery for me. His set was a refreshing addition to the festival and left me wanting to explore more of his music.

One of the highlights of the day was indulging in some mouth-watering food from Brisket From The Ashes BBQ. The brisket bun I had was delicious and added a savoury touch to the festival experience.

As much as I enjoyed the festival, I’ve found that I now prefer concerts over full-day festivals. Maybe it’s a sign of getting older, but I appreciate the focused experience of a single performance. Of course, this might change in the future—you never know!

With love,
