HELLO LONDON | THE ALICIA +KEYS WOLRD TOUR

Hello Beautiful Souls! A new short blog post about a recent experience. I was so excited when a friend told me she wanted to see Alicia Keys’ concert here in London. I had to join her. Finally, after months the day was here. [Whoop Whoop] Okay, the day is not today, the actual concert happened in June. If you follow me on Instagram, you will see [under the highlight] some snaps I took back then. [I am still enjoying seeing those snaps back]

So a week before the concert, I thought, [okay] let’s prepare and listen to her latest album [KEYS], so at least I could sing along to a few songs during the concert. I think Alicia surprised us [all] with a mind-blowing performance.

Alicia performed songs from her latest album to songs from each album over the years. She did it all! Her DJ skills were outstanding! So many good vibes went around that evening in the O2 Arena. [Singing along was no problem at all].

I am so blessed I saw this concert with great company. The Alicia Keys concert is the first concert I have seen in more than ten+ years. [Can you believe that?] From now on many more concerts to come! [Oh yeah!]

HELLO CLUBBING | FABRIC

Hello Beautiful Souls! Finally, after years, and thanks to my lovely cousin who joined, we did go to the famous Fabric in Farringdon. The club is known for its license has been revoked due to two drug-related death in the club in 2016. A campaign and increased security and restrictions helped to reopen again. We [definitely] withness the strict security protocol. It made us feel a bit like two giggling school girls. [Never forget the fun we had waiting in the queue]

Due to the extreme security and restrictions, you go through a security check and have to bring your ID. You are also not allowed to take pictures inside. Once inside, it is [kind of] a maze, but we danced the night away [as if we were in our twenties again] till 3 am. [That was the max for us oldies nowadays :P]

The DJs that we danced to were Seth Troxler and Fleur Shore. A brilliant night out and a very organised club from the inside. If you like Dance and Electronic music, this is the place to be. Probably there are plenty more nights to enjoy as it is open many days a week.

SOUTH DOWNS NATIONAL PARK – HASLEMERE | HIKE TRIP

Hello Beautiful Souls and hiking fans! Oh yeah, we are on the hiking roll. I went on another hiking trip with the same meetup group as the one to St. Martha hill.

This time we went to Haslemere to start our hike along the Sussex Border path over Black Down to the Temple of the Winds. The walk was beautiful, full of greenery, the woods and some challenging muddy hills to the highest point of the county of Sussex and the South Downs National Park. The view is beautiful from the top. A fun fact is you might see this massive beautiful cows on the path to the top of the hill.

As in the previous hike, we dropped by for a beer in a pub in Haslemere. I can recommend joining a group for a long walk if that is your thing [of course]. You will meet so many fun and nice people, who all live in our around London.

HELLO LONDON | BAO SOHO

Hello Beautiful Souls! You probably remember the Taiwanese Noodle shop from some time ago. They have another restaurant in Soho, called Bao Soho. A fun fact is that this restaurant was the first bao restaurant I did visit when I [just] moved to London in 2017. Mainly because it’s super close to Oxford Street and the Bao buns are extraordinarily delicious.

The Confit Pork Bao is one of the best bao buns I tasted. Another tasty starter is the aged beef rump slices. It is an excellent place for a quick lunch with some bao buns, and you are ready for an afternoon full of activities.

They have more restaurants around the city centre, so if you have a chance to try them all, do it! [and thank me later :)]
